Baccarat is a very popular gambling game. It is believed to have been introduced into France from Macau during the reign of Charles VIII of France (15th cent). Now there are many version of baccarat.

It was born in north American and then spread worldwide, and even if it’s basically a random game the player can’t quite condition with his choice, it’s very popular indeed.
The game itself gets 2 played, but it’s supposed to involve till 14 persons that could bet on the game, just as they could for black Jack . Before the cards were dealt, each person could bet:

  • On the win of a player (paid 2/1)
  • On the win of the banker (paid 2/1)
  • On a draw (paid 8/1)
Should both the Banker hand and the Player hand have the same value at the end of the deal the croupier shall announce "Egalité - tie bets win." All tie bets will be paid at 8 to 1 odds and all bets on Player or Banker" remain in place and active for the next game (the customer may or may not be able to retract these bets depending on casino rules). At the beginning the croupier deals two covered cards for the player and two for the bunker (he manages). If one gets 8 or 9 point, or a natural, they all have to show down to check wins (or ties) When none gets a natural, the croupier will deal another card: when a player reach 6 or 7 he couldn’t go further, and that’s the bunker turn, and he will act according to the following rules:
  • If the Player drew a 2 or 3, the Banker draws if he has 0–4, and stands if he has 5–7.
  • If the Player drew a 4 or 5, the Banker draws if he has 0–5, and stands if he has 6–7.
  • If the Player drew a 6 or 7, the Banker draws if he has 0–6, and stands if he has 7.
  • If the Player drew an 8, the Banker draws if he has 0–2, and stands if he has 3–7.
  • If the Player drew an ace, 9, 10, or face-card, the Banker draws if he has 0–3, and stands if he has 4–7.

Finally there will be the showdown and the winner will be the nearest to. Chemin de Fer has got just some little different rules
