Blackjack is one of the most popular cards’ gambling game.
It’s usually played with 6 desks. The bankerer does the croupier.
It’s from France, since the 17th cent., and Napoleon played that. At first it was named Vingt-et-un
(21). In the beginning of’900 US got it and make it very pop. From those years on, they call it Black Jack

HOW TO PLAY

The game is players vs the bankerer. At first players make their free bets (usually with a max amount, decided by the Casino)
About bets:

  • A player can put them down his own box (in front of him) but even down others’ boxes (when he want to bet on them
  • Even all the players standing behind can do the same
  • Although bets, cards will always called by the sitting player
When bets are down, the bankerer/croupier gets 5 unplayable cards off from the sabot (they said “he burns them”). Then he shows down clockwise one card by each bet in box (his included). And then again, for the second card (apart form his own card, that this time he won’t show). Now each player knows his own score, but not bankerer’s one. The bankerer starts the last part of the play, from box 1 and on: he asks players if they want one more card, and they could answer
  • "hit me" or "card”, if they do;
  • "stand", if they don’t;

And so on, until players:
  • get near 21(or they even goal) and they decide to rest;
  • get over 21(being "busted").

When a player is “busted”, the back gets his cards and goes to the further player.
When a player stands, the bankerer leave down his cards and bets, and goes further.
So it goes, till the 7th box. At the end (with any player still on) the bankerer will show his second card and decide his play, minding these rules:
  • less than 16, he must get another card;
  • 17 or more, he must stand.

With his game done, the bankerer checks wins:
  • he cash in for less scores;
  • he holds down for next game bets for equal score;
  • he pays for winning scores;
Obviously, when the back is “busted” he’ll pay for all the remaining bets.
